Ferrari used its 2 L- V12 engine in a number of models, all called 166 for the displacement of a single cylinder. Most early 166’s were sports cars built for racing, though a later line of GT cars (166MM) launched the company’s street model line.
Unveiled at the 1948 Turin motorshow, the 166MM set the blueprint for Maranello’s future road cars.
