The first production model of the Countach was the LP400. It was first offered for sale at the 1974 Geneva Auto Show. The LP400 was equipped with a 3,929 cc engine delivering 276 kW (370 hp). The LP400 was equipped with Michelin XWX tires, sized front 205/70R14 and rear 215/70R14, which contributed to the LP400 having the lowest drag coefficient of any Countach made.
