Manufactured years 1987

The Cosworth RS500 was announced in July 1987, and was homologated in August 1987. Aston Martin Tickford converted the 500 cars. All cars were right-hand drive.

The main difference to the Sierra three-door Cosworth was the RS500’s uprated competition engine and minor external cosmetic differences including its prominent “whale tail” spoiler.
